Consider Joining a Committee
Joining a Building Congress and Exchange Committee will provide an opportunity for you to become involved in Association activities. For further information you may contact Verna L. Regler, Executive Director by e-mail or by phone at 410-823-7200.
Construction Technology Committee
The Construction Technology Committee provides resource referrals, technology educational programs, and correspondence (Bulletin articles, general information notices) to facilitate members’ development, maintenance and enhancement of information/data management systems applicable to the construction industry. The Construction Technology Committee meets monthly.
Craftsmanship Awards Committee
The Craftsmanship Committee meets 6–8 times per year. The Committee is solely responsible for the selection of our Annual Craftsmanship Award recipients. Nominations are received from construction related firms for individuals who have displayed quality and excellence in craftsmanship within their trade. The Committee performs on-site inspections of each project nominated and determines the top 20 award-winning craftsmen. Award winners are honored at the Annual Dinner & Craftsmanship Awards Program in November each year.
Membership Committee
The Membership Committee is an extremely active committee. Committee members solicit potential members while promoting the many benefits of Building Congress & Exchange membership. In addition, committee members are actively supportive of Network Hours, as well as other Association events. The Committee meets monthly.
Programs Committee
The Programs Committee’s primary responsibilities include planning and organizing the Association’s three major events; the Annual Shrimp & Bull Roast typically held in February, the Spring Golf Outing and the Fall Golf Tournament – The President’s Cup. The Committee meets prior to these events.
